Has your makeup preferences changed post-pandemic? I’m rekindling my enjoyment for wearing makeup

-

Hello lovelies! I hope you’re all doing well. Today, I wanted to talk about something that’s been on my mind a lot lately: my makeup preferences post-pandemic. It’s no secret that the pandemic has had a major impact on our lives, including the way we approach beauty and fashion. For me, it’s been a bit of a journey, but I’m happy to say that I’m rekindling my enjoyment for wearing makeup.

Let’s start by looking back at before the pandemic. I was someone who loved playing with different makeup looks, experimenting with bold colors and techniques. Makeup was a form of self-expression and a way to boost my confidence. However, when the pandemic hit and we were all spending more time at home, I found myself reaching for a more minimalist approach. With Zoom calls and mask-wearing becoming the norm, I started to focus more on skincare and let my makeup routine take a backseat.

But as we’re slowly emerging from the pandemic and life is starting to return to some sort of normal, I’ve noticed a shift in my makeup preferences. I find myself reaching for those bold colors and experimenting with new looks again. There’s something about getting dressed up and putting on makeup that makes me feel good, even if it’s just for a day at home or a quick trip to the store.

One of the things I’ve really been loving lately is playing with different eyeshadow colors. I’ve been branching out beyond my usual neutrals and trying out some fun, bold hues like purples, blues, and greens. It’s a great way to add a little bit of personality to my look and make me feel more put together. I’ve also been incorporating more highlighting and bronzing into my routine, giving my skin that sun-kissed, glowy look.

Of course, with this newfound love for makeup comes some changes in my product choices. I’m now more conscious of the ingredients in my makeup and am looking for products that are not only good for my skin but also eco-friendly. I’ve been trying out more natural and organic brands, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the quality and performance of these products.

Another change I’ve noticed is that I’m taking more time to enjoy the process of doing my makeup. Instead of rushing through it in the morning, I’m savoring the moment and using it as a form of self-care. It’s a great way to start the day and make myself feel good before facing the world.

So, has your makeup preferences changed post-pandemic? I’d love to hear from you in the comments below. Whether you’ve gone back to your pre-pandemic routine or have discovered new looks and products, let’s share our experiences and tips. Let’s continue to embrace our love for makeup and all the ways it can make us feel beautiful and confident!

Until next time, stay gorgeous! 💄✨
